became the bride of Private William
J. Behm, son of Mrs. Bertha Behm,
1546 North avenue, this city, on Sun-
day afternoon, April 25, at 4 o'clock,
at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran
church, Oliver street, North Tona-
wanda. The Rev. Paul Fretthold
officiated at the double ring cere-
mony. Mrs. A Paul Caterina, of this
city, presented a half-hour organ
recital preceding the ceremony.
The bride, who was given in marriage
by her father, chose for her
wedding gown white starched chif-
fon, with a sweetheart neckline and
long sleeves ending in points above
the wrist. Her gown was fashioned
with a lace yoke and lace insets in
the sleeves and her long train also
featured lace insets. Her lace trim-
med fingertip veil of illusion felll
gracefully from a tiara of seeded
pearls. She carried a showed bou-
quet of white carnations and sweet
peas, tied with white moline and
white satin ribbons caught iwth
fern and sweet peas. The bride also
wore a single strand of pearls. In
her bouquet was fastened a portion
of orange blossoms from her moth-
er's bridal wreath.
In beautiful contrast to the bride
were her maid of honor, Miss Gladys
Urtel, cousin of the bridegroom, and
her matron of honor, Mrs. Jack
Pettit, and her two bridesmaids,
Miss Eleanor Behm, sister of the
bridgegroom, and Miss emma Hol-
land.
Miss Urtel was gowned in blue
starched chiffon with shirred bodice
and sweetheart, neckline trimmed
with tiny pink bows. Her gown was
fashioned with lace insets and her
short puffed sleeves and full skirt
were trimmed with bands of lace.
Sne wore a matching bow in her
hair. Her bouquet consisted of jon-
quils tied with pink moline.
Mrs. Jack Pettit, Miss Eleanor
Behm and Miss Emma Holland all
wore gowns of pink fashioned like
that of the maid of honor. Each
wore matching ribbons in their hair
and carried bouquets of jouquils
tied with blue moline.
All wore necklaces of white pearl
plastic.
Private Behm chose for his at-
tendants Mr. Carl Camann, his
cousin, to serve as best man; Mr.
John Stange, brother of the bride,
as groomsman, and Mr. Kenneth
Stange, nephew of the bride, and
Mr. Ralph Walck of serve as ushers.
Proceding the ceremony St. Mark's
Lutheran chorus sand "Beautiful
Savior" and "The Lord Is My Shep-
herd." Throughout the ceremony
the organist, Mrs. Caterina, played
"O Perfect Love."
The mother of the bride was at-
tired in blue crepe and the bride-
grooms' mother chose a blue flow-
ered crepe. Each wore a corsage of
pink roses and white saisies tied
with blue ribbons. The bride's grand-
mother chose black crepe and wore
a corsage of pink roses and white
daisies tied with a pink ribbon.
After the ceremony a dinner for
the immediate families was served i
at the home of the bride's parents.;
j The bride's table, with covers laid
for ten. was centered with a large
wedding cake. Later in the evening j
the many relatives and friends of I
the bridal couple were entertained
at "open house.''
Among the guests present were
Sergeant Frederick P. Hadley who
is stationed with Private Behm at
Port Dix Army Air Base, and Corporal
Roy Neubauer, home on furlough
from Drew Field. Florida.
After a brief stay. Private Behm
j will return to Fort Dlx Army Air
Base and after a few weeks Mrs.
Behm will join her husband.
Previous to her" marriage. Mrs.
Behm was the recipient of numeroa
