  Niagara Gazette - 6/17/1953 SANBORN, June 17-Funeral services for Philip Wendt, 82, who died Friday at the home of his nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wendt, Saunders Settlement road, were held Sunday at St Peter's church, Walmore road. The Rev. Martin Pempeit officiated. The bearers included Robert, Ronald P., Marvin and Ronald Wendt, George Baker and Niel Pokelwaldt. Interment was in Walmore cemetery
