- Adelean J. Siegmann - Cholewa age 85 of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home unexpectedly on June 25, 2015 while at the Niagara Hospice House. Born in the Town of Clarence, NY on June 22, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Schaffer) Byrd. Adelean was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, charter member of St. Johnsburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in North Tonawanda. She was a devoted homemaker and was employed as a Nurses Aide for 18 years at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Adelean enjoyed babysitting, taking care of the sick, was known for her homemade baked pies, flower gardening, Country Western dancing, loved singing and loved to kid around.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Lester Siegmann and a son, Daniel Siegmann both in 1998. Survivors include her husband, Walter Cholewa whom she married August 21, 2004; children, Larry Siegmann of Appleton; Patricia (Jim) Zimmerman of Cambria and Steven (Cindy) Cholewa of Wheatfield; grandchildren, Mark (Brenda) Siegmann, Greg Siegmann, Kimberly (Greg) Brennan, Jennifer Hagan, Cory Cech, Errick Cholewa and Adam Cech; great-grandchildren, Paige, Julia, Allison, Leah, Danielle and Sarah; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME (731-3234), 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Falls Blvd. and Ward Road. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice
