- Norma M. Scherrer, age 94 of Niagara Falls, NY, formerly of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home on July 25, 2025 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on November 22, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Wolf) Loeschke. Norma was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bergholz. She enjoyed all sports, but especially was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. There were also several TV game shows that she enjoyed watching.Norma was predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Scherrer on January 2, 2019; two sisters, Alice Schultz and Helen Roberts; and a brother, William Loeschke.Survivors include four children, Randall (Charlene) Scherrer, Sandy (Mario) Bertozzi, Patty Evans, and John (Staci) Scherrer; a sister, Ruth Haseley; ten grandchildren, Vanessa (Marty) Tobey, Stephanie Swanson, Anthony (Jennifer) DeVantier, Matthew (Erin) DeVantier, Christina Allen (Bryan O'Toole), Corey Evans, Christopher Evans (Stephanie Wingfield), Kimberly (Emmett) Henry, Jessica (Matthew) Sesnie, and Kristen (Aaron) Schauger; 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Monday (July 28) from 3-7 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Randy Kaminska, on Tuesday (July 29) at 11:00 a.m. in St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road (across the road from the funeral home).Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
