  The Buffalo News - February 27, 1993 Clara Marcks, 82, an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church who taught school in the early 1930s, died Friday (Feb. 26, 1993) in her home on Cambria-Wilson Road. The former Clara Bishing, a native of the Town of Newstead, graduated from the Clarence Training School and was a 1932 graduate of the former Geneseo State Normal School. She taught in the Sandhill schools in Newstead in the early 1930s. A Wilson resident for 53 years, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and had been superintendent of the Sunday school there for many years. She also was a member of the Womens of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a member of the auxiliaries of Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital and the Wilson Conservation Club, and also was a member of the Wilson Historical Society. Surviving are her husband, Harold Marcks; two daughters, Mona Baker of Rochester and Marlene Schotz of Wilson; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, McChesney and Young streets. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria.
