MANTE - Edwin R., 75, of North Tonawanda, Friday (May 6) at his residence. Mr. Mante was a member of Columbia Hook and Ladder Company No. 1 and the North Tonawanda Firemens Benevolent Association. Mr. Mante was a retired employee of Carborundum County, Niagara Falls.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah (Gierke) Mante; a son, Harold E. Mante, both of North Tonawanda; a daughter, Mrs. Chester (Ruth) Gorski, Gastonia, N. C.; a brother, Martin (Mary) Mante of the Town of Wheatfield; two sisters, Mrs. Arnold (Ella) Wollenberg of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Herbert (Agnes) Wilson of the Town of Wheatfield, and a grandchild.
Friends may call Saturday 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wattengel Funeral Home Inc., 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, where services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Dr. Paul R. Ritter officiating. Burial in Elmlawn Cemetery.
