A very quiet but pretty wedding
took place Saturday evening when
Miss Mary Shearer, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. George Shearer, of the Nash
road, became the bride of Martin
Mante, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Mante, of Niagara street. The ceremony
was performed at the parsonage
of the Rev. F. Stackhouse,
North Tonawanda. The bride was
dressed In a flesh color silk crepe
dress. She carried an old fashioned
bouquet of pink Killamey roses and
smilax tied with flesh color tulle. She
wore slippers and hose to match.
Miss Louise Kick, of Buffalo, attended
the bride and was dressed in a
crepe grown which matched the bride's
gown. She carried a bouquet of
Sweetheart roses. Baby's Breath and
smilax, tied with matching tulle.
Oscar Mante, brother of the groom,
attended him. After the ceremony
a dinner was served at a Buffalo hotel
to the wedding party. The home
of the bride was decorated and the
table-, from which a dainty lunch was
served at midnight, was centered with
a tiered wedding cake and roses.
After a short wedding trip they will
reside on the Nash road. The couple
received a number of pretty and useful
gifts.
