NORTH TONAWANDA — Leona M. (Toellner) Doebler, age 93, of the Town of Wheatfield, Saturday, June 11, 2011, in the DeGraff Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, after a brief illness. Leona was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide. She was a life member of the Adams Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was the wife of the late LaVern Doebler, who died in 1973.
Dear mother of Faye (David) Schnell of Bedford, TX, Linda (James) Vredenburgh of Tampa, FL and Sally (Roger) Stuermer of St. Augustine, FL; grandmother of three grandsons and seven great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda, Tuesday from 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM from St. John Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ronald D. Oravec will officiate. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
