Miss Blessing graduated from LaSalle High School and from Erie County
Technical Institute. School of Dental Hygiene. Mr. Bridgeman graduated from LaSalle
High School, attended Niagara Ihmersity, and presently is attending Erie County
Technical Institute where he is studying construction technology.
A fall wedding is planned.

White gladioli and shasta daisies enhanced the sanctuary
of St. John de LaSalle Church today (July 27, 1957) at
11:30 a.m. for the marriage of Miss Beverly Ann Blessing
and Robert George Bridgeman. The Rev. F. Lambert Haley,
Clarence Center, performed the double-ring ceremony.
, The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cristy W.
Blessing, Rivershore Dr. Mr. Bridgeman is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Edmund T. Sullivan, 80th St.

Mrs. John Dowdall was organist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown
of rosepoint lace tulle and satin, designed with a sabrina
neckline of sequins and pearls and a fitted lace bodice with
long sleeves. Her full tulle overskirt fell into a chapellength
train. A pill box of sequins and pearls held her double
illusion veil of appliqued sequins. She carried a prayer book
decorated with Rubrum lilies and white roses.
Mrs. Roger W. Brandt, Buffalo, matron of honor, wore a
nylon chiffon dress with V neckline and fitted bodice and a
form fitting front panel with fully gathered skirt. She wore a
semi picture hat of white horsehair and carried a colonial
bouquet of powder blue roses and shattered carnations.
Miss Kathleen Ann Fitzgerald, cousin of the bride,
as bridesmaid was attired similar to the honor attendant.
Miss Irene F. Sullivan, niece of the bridegroom, as flower
girl wore a gown of white chiffon with nylon tulle.
William John Bridgeman was best man for his brother.
James E. Sullivan, brother of the bridegroom, and John E.
Costanzo were ushers.
For a reception to be held this afternoon, at the homo
of the bride's parents, Mrs. Blessing will welcome her guests
attired in a powder blue lace dress fashioned with a sabrina
neckline and long fitted torso. She will complement her
ensemble with matching accessories. The mother of the
bridegroom has chosen a pale pink chiffon organza over taffeta
dress trimmed with chantilly lace, and pink accessories.
Each will wear an orchid corsage.
The bride-elect will depart on her honeymoon to the
Adirondack Mountains and northern Canada attired in a
navy blue crystallette sheath dress with a matching duster,
white accessories and* a white rose corsage.

Notes - Robert G. "Bob" Bridgeman, of Sanborn and Niagara Falls, New York, died on February 26, 2018 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was 82 years old. He was born in Niagara Falls on June 19, 1935, the son of Frederick Robert Bridgeman, who passed away when Bob and John were young children. His mother, Lillian C. (Wright) Sullivan married Edmund Sullivan and raised their two sons.
Bob was a graduate of the former LaSalle Jr/Sr High School, Class of 1953. Following high school, he served in the United States Army National Guard. He worked for Union Carbide (Alcom Metal Corp) as a design draft engineer, retiring after 40 years.
He was well known for his keen sense of humor, always having a grand time playing a good joke on an unsuspecting person. He and his wife, Beverly, were wonderful hosts to some great parties at their homes in the country and along the river. He had a strong bond with the outdoors. An avid fisherman and hunter, he loved to share his prized catches with family, friends and neighbors. Bob loved boating in the Niagara River, wintering in Florida and trips to New England. He was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception RC Church.
Bob was predeceased by his high school sweetheart and loving wife, Beverly Ann (Blessing) Bridgeman, on December 20, 2016. He is survived by three children, Robyn (Dennis) Toth of Pendleton; Robert "Bobby" Bridgeman of Sanborn and Lynn (Christopher) Coleman of Lockport; his brother, John Bridgeman of Niagara Falls; eight grandchildren; and a special Godfather to several honored people.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11 AM in Immaculate Conception RC Church, 4671 Townline Road, Sanborn, New York. The interment will be held privately for the family.
