- VICTIMS OF CROSSING CRASH LAID AT REST
The final chapter in the Hyde Park boulevard grade crossing tragedy which claimed the lives of a man and a woman last Tuesday was written on Christmas Eve when funeral services were held for Mrs. Florence E. Burford, 25, of 2519 North avenue, one of the victims. Services will be held at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buerger, 1839 South avenue, and at St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church. avenue and Eighteenth street, with the Rev. Alwin Prange officiating. Interment was made in Memorial Park cemetery. The pallbearers were Paul Mehls, Reinert Wendt, Howard Fitzgerald, Kermit Haseley, Lawrence Styshems and Herman Meyers. Services for the other victim, Nicholas Prank Hanson, 29, of 36 B. street, were held at the Grldley funeral home Thursday, with the Rev. Blake B. Hammond, rector of St. Peter's Episcopal church, officiating. Interment was made in Memorial Park cemetery.
