- William Bullwinkle, age 80 of Farmington, NY, formerly of Sanborn, was called home to be with his heavenly Lord and Savior, on November 16, 2025 at the FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. Born September 9, 1945 in Astoria, NY; son of the late D. Robert and Bertha (Stabler) Bullwinkle. Bill was a man of great faith, and served as a teacher for over 40 years. He attended Concordia College in Bronxville, NY and River Forest, Illinois, graduating in 1966 with a degree in education. Bill was a Minister of the Gospel. He taught at Our Savior Lutheran School in Bronx, NY, Redeemer Lutheran School in Bayside, NY, and in 1976 he accepted a call to serve at St. Peter's Lutheran School, (Walmore) Sanborn, NY, as a 7th and 8th grade teacher. He later became Principal and retired in 2010. Bill coached multiple girls basketball teams and soccer teams at St. Peter's, instructed confirmation classes and lead adult bible classes for many years. He moved to Farmington, NY in 2020, loved his model trains, music - especially loud music, played guitar, clarinet, and trombone, enjoyed watching the NY Mets, and UCONN women's basketball.Survivors include his loving wife, Elynore (Ley) Bullwinkle, whom he married June 25, 1966; three sons, Jonathan (Susan), David (Kristi), and Christopher (Tammy) Bullwinkle; and eight grandchildren, Taylor, Julia, Abigail, Thomas, Joel, Claire, Arthur, and Alexys.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home LLC, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, NY, on Friday (November 21 from 4-6 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Kurt Jensen, on Saturday (November 22) in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran School Financial Aid Fund.
