- William Fuerch Obituary
Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, in Brookdale Memory Care. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 16, 1941, a son of the late Ronald and Edytha [Sullivan] Fuerch.
Bill was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School in 1958 and proudly served with the US Air Force 107th Airwing during the Vietnam War.
He was a millwright with Carborundum before going to Harrison Radiator, later Delphi, for over 30 years retiring as an engineering supervisor in 2009.
He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping with his family.
His cabin in the southern tier brought him much joy and relaxation in his retirement years.
He was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church and a dedicated volunteer member of the Bergholz Fire Company and enjoyed many years in the Bergholz German Band, as a flag holder.
He is survived by his children William D. (Julie) and Christopher A. (Kristi) Fuerch and Lori J. Wendt, grandchildren Tiffany (Vincent) Aquino, Garret (Alexandra) Fuerch, Derek (Katie) Fuerch, Brandon (Emma) Wendt, Eadie (Joel) Ulrich, Gabrielle and Elizabeth Fuerch, eight great-grandchildren, his sister Carol (late Thomas) Hughes, also many nieces, nephews and dear furry friend Mason.
Bill was the brother of the late Janelle (Roger) Eads and former husband of the late Carolyn Johnson.
His family will be present on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, 6630 Luther Street, Niagara Falls, NY.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice.
