LINCOLN - Paul E. Schroeder, 80, of Lincoln died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 24, 1923, in Lincoln, the son of Edward C. and Emma Stoltzenburg Schroeder. He married Ruth Mittelsteadt in 1947 in Lincoln; she died in 1977. He married Normal Jane Cosby in 1978 in Lincoln.
Mr. Schroeder retied in 1984 as manager of Feed Mill, International Multi Foods, and was employed by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 263. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors: wife, Norma; son, Dale E. (wife, Kathy) Schroeder of Normal; stepson, Robert T. (wife, Mona) Cosby of Broadwell; two daughters, Connie R. (husband, Steve) Haseley of Lincoln and Cathy A. Schroeder (fiance, Scott Carini) of Orlando, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Barbara (husband, Rodney) Oltmanns of Elkhart and Ruthie (husband, Lester) Marten of New Holland; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 P.M. Wednesday, Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln, the Rev. Mark Carnahan officiating. Burial: Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
