  Lockport Union Sun & Journal March 24, 1966 Mrs. Townsend Dies At Age 68 Mrs. Grant (Frances S.) Townsend, 68, of 4136 Lake Ave., a retired Harrison worker, died Wednesday (March 23,1 1966) at Inter - Community Memorial Hospital at Newfane. Born in the Town of Cambria on Oct. 26, 1897, she was the daughter of Albert and Minnie Dohring Kraatz. Mrs. Townsend was employed for many years in assembly work at the Harrison Radiator Division. General Motors Corp. and retired several years ago. Surviving are her husband; two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Robert T. Swift of Newfane, Mrs. Clarence C. King; Robert F. and Charles H. Townsend, all of Lockport; one brother and two sisters, Fred Kraatz and Mrs. Percy B. Smith, both of Lockport and Mrs. Paul Everett of Buffalo; also 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Beginning this evening. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Gordon R. Bender, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
