ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED-Mrs Amelia Faddoul, 8ixth street,
announces the engagement of her daughter, Jeannette, to Mr. Harry
DeBan, son of Mr. and Mrs. George DeBan, Niagara Falls boulevard.
Miss Faddoul is a graduate of Buffalo State Teachers college and
the University of Chicago graduate library school. At present, she is
librarian for the Bishop Duffy high school. She Is a member of Pi
Lambda Theta, a national honor society of the University of Chicago,
TuiflT Alpha Sigma Tau. national sorority of Buffalo State Teachers
college.
Mr. DeBan is a graduate of the college of arts and sciences of
Niagara university, with a bachelor of science In chemistry. He is now associated with Cerium Metals, this city.
The wedding will take place in the near future.

The main altar of Our Lady of
Lebanon church was decorated with
white flowers to enhance the setting
for the ceremony uniting in
marriage Mtss Jeannette Mary Faddoul,
daughter of Mrs: Nahem Faddoul
and the late Nahem Faddoul,
and Lt. Harry George DeBan, son
of Mr. and Mrs. George DeBan.
The wedding took place at 11
o'clock this morning in the presence
of the Rev. Richard A. Loeffler,
CM. Father Loeffler was the
celebrant of the Nuptial Solemn
Mass, assisted by the Rev. George
Palmer, O.S.F.S., faculty member of
Bishop Duffy high school, deacon,
and the Rev. Francis Crowley, Buffalo,
subdeacon. Assisting as altar
boys were four students of Bishop
Duffy high school. Robert Kellick.
David McGinnis, Thomas Bacon and
James Glynn.
The bride, given in marriage by
her brother, Mr. Joseph Faddoul,
wore a white satin gown with a nylon
tulle neckline. An off-the^shoulder
effect was created by an applique
of Venice lace inserted with
rhinestones. The same lace with
rhinestones covered the fitted bodice
and formed side peplums. The full
satin skirt fell into a wide court
train. Her French imported fingertip
veil of illusion etched with Chantally
lace fell from a tiara of seed
pearls and rhinestones. She carried
a cascade bouquet of white roses and
stephanotis.
Maid of honor for her sister, Miss
Selma Faddoul was gowned in yellow
organdy over taffeta. A scalloped
net nylon veil fell from her
queen's crown, which was trimmed
with seed pearls. She carried a
bouquet of yellow roses and greentinted
daisies.
In similar ensembles of Nile green
were the bridesmaids, including the
Misses Marie and Rose DeBan. sisters
of the bridegroom; Miss Adele
Geiser, Miss Dolores Solomon, cousin
of the bride, Niagara Falls, Ont..
and Miss Helen Touma, cousin of
the bride. Their bouquets were yellow
daisies and talisman roses. Miss
Clarice Alexander, cousin of the
bride, was junior bridesmaid. She
wore a yellow marquisette gown
over taffeta. Her flowers were similar
to the maid of honor's.
Serving as best man was Mr.
Harry Johnson. The ushers included
Mr. George Faddoul, brother
of the bride: Mr. William Roffle,
cousin of the bridegroom: M-Sgt.
Walter Stcirs. Newark. N.J.; Pfc.
Joseph Williams, Sampson Air Force
base, Geneva, and Mr. Khalil Shaheen,
Buffalo. The junior usher
was Philip Haroney, Buffalo.
The bride's mother wore a ballerina-
length gown of aqua lace and
navy blue accessories. An orchid
corsage completed her ensemble.

which she wore navy blue accessories
and an orchid corsage.
A dinner following the ceremony
uas scrscd to more than 150 guests
at the Plantation restaurant. This
evening the wedding reception will
he held in Our Lady of Lebanon
Church hall, to which more than 500
guests have been invited.
Beige linen accessories complemented
the bride's goingaway suit
of aqua gabardine. After a short
wedding trip, Lt. and Mrs. DeBan
will travel to Lackland Air Force
Rase, San Antonio. Texas, where It.
DeBan will receive his next assignment.
