- Joseph M. Faddoul, 89, former City Treasurer of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 26, 2017.
The third of four children born to Nahem and Amelia (Solomon) Faddoul, he was a life-long resident of Niagara Falls, where he attended local schools, and then Canisius College and Niagara University.
Prior to becoming an employee of the City of Niagara Falls, he worked in the business office of International Paper Co, for some 20 years.
A member of Our Lady of Lebanon Church, he served as the parish's Business Manager for many years. He was a recipient of the Saint Joseph the Worker Award, presented by the Bishop of Buffalo, for dedicated service on the parish level. He also was President of the Our Lady of Lebanon Senior Society over several decades, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was pre-deceased by his sisters Jeannette DeBan (late Harry) and Selma Washburn (late Robert), and his brother George Faddoul (Dorothy). He is survived by his sister-in-law, Dorothy, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at St. Leo's Church, St. Vincent DePaul Parish, 2748 Military Road, in the Town of Niagara, with Rev. Jeffrey L. Nowak serving as celebrant. Please gather at the church. Prayers of committal and entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
