Services for Thomas R. Wurl, 42, an electrician for Ferguson Electric Construction, who was fatally injured in a work-related accident Monday, will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
Wurl lived on Hoover Road. He died Monday afternoon (Sept. 24, 1990) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after the cherry picker he was operating for Ferguson Electric hit a ditch and overturned at the Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors Corp., Town of Lockport.
Born in North Tonawanda, he was a 20-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and had attended Niagara-Wheatfield Central School and Trott Vocational High School, Niagara Falls.
He was an Army veteran and an avid fisherman and bow hunter.
He was a member of St. Paul Church, where he also served on the church maintenance board; Wheatfield Post 1451, American Legion, and the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Gail Wendt; two sons, Jonathan and Andrew; his parents, Fred and Betty; a brother, Dennis, and a sister, Kathleen Kowalik, all of Wheatfield
