  ROBERT J. YOUNG NIAGARA FALLS - Robert Joseph Young, 58, of 624 28th St. died Tuesday (February 13, 1973) in Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Saltcoats, Scotland, he lived in Niagara Falls for 50 years. He had been employed for 37 years as a laborer in the small wheels department of the Carborundum Co. He was formerly active locally in baseball and football. Mr. Young was a member of the Retired Men's Club and the Golden Age Bowlers. Survivors inlude (sic) his widow, Florence (Johnson) Young; six sons, Robert L. Young of Germany, Michael Young of Rockwood, Mich., John Young of Fairfax, Vt., William Young of Arizona, David Young and James Young, both at home; five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Jean) Haseley, Mrs. John (Margaret) Galko, Sue Ellen Young and Mrs. Michael (Mary Beth) Karbowski, all of this city and Mrs. David (Kathleen) Winslow of Allentown, Pa.; two brothers, .John Young of Elcerrito, Calif.; and Frank Young of this city; a sister, Mrs. William(Mary) Lawhon of this city, and 13 grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Anna Mary Trane. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home, and at 9: 30 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will be in st. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m.
