  10 June 1949 Tonawanda News Benjamin K. Schmidt, 58, of Wurl St., Bergholtz, died this morning in Memorial Hospital, Niagara Falls, after a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of the town of Wheatfield. He is survived by his wife, Ida, nee Haseley; three sons, Harold at home, Clarence of Niagara Falls and Richard of Tonawanda; three daughters, Mrs. Lester Schumacher and Mrs. Tony Jensen of Tonawanda and Mrs. Ervin Moll of Lockport; three brothers, Philip and Otto of Tonawanda and Fred of Newfane; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Sattelberg of Wheatfield and Mrs. Josephine Ginet of Lockport. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam St. Burial will be in the Holy Ghost cemetery.
