- GOSCH, LOIS ELAINE (nee Koithan), age 94 of North Tonawanda, born August 20, 1926, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 22, 2021, at home with her family by her side. Beloved wife of William Gosch for seventy years, loving mother of Phyllis Gosch, Susan Taylor (Kevin), Christine Gosch (Jim Mattoon) and Matthew Gosch (Beth Kinsman). Cherished grand-mother of Kirsten Motley (John), Alexandra Taylor, Meryl Gosch and Kelsey Gosch. Dear great-grandmother of Oliver Motley. Her brother Harold Koithan survives her. Lois was also a kindred spirit to her many nieces, nephews and relatives and a fond friend to many. Lois was born to Herbert and Margaret (nee Wagner) Koithan of Shawnee Road. She is pre-deceased by her sisters Ruth Janowski and Jane Broecker and her brother Herbert Koithan. She is known for her love of gardening and the outdoors. Any day, spring through fall, Lois could be found picking up sticks and pinecones that always seemed plentiful. She truly enjoyed time with her family in the kitchen and on the Koithan farm. She was also an accomplished seamstress, making children's clothing, prom dresses and curtains. Lois had a kind, patient and abundantly loving personality that was complimented by her keen sense of humor. A celebration of Lois' life will be held at a later time. The family wishes to thank the entire team at Niagara Hospice, their neighbors, friends and relatives for their invaluable assistance during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Niagara Hospice, www.niagarahospice.org/donation. Condolences may be shared at www.ROTHFUNERAL.com.
