  Niagara Falls Gazette, Jun 24, 1941 MRS. MEHLS DIES 80-year-old Woman Had Lived In This Vicinity Since 1883. Mrs. Anna Buerger Mehls, a longtime resident of this city, Bergholz and vicinity, died in Mount St. Mary's hospital last night at the age of 80. She had been making her home with a daughter. Mrs. Amos Haseley, of Niagara avenue. Born in Germany. Mrs. Mehls came to this area in 1883. Besides Mrs. Haseley, she is survived by four other daughters, Mrs. Anna Fess And Mrs. Leona Tonner, of this city. Mrs. William Krull. of Cambria, and Mrs. Philip LaMantia of Long Island, and three sons. John, of this city. Edward, of Buffalo, and Fred, of Orchard Park. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.The funeral will be held from the Haseley home at 2 p.m. Thursday, with services at 2:30 pm. at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Cleveland avenue and Eighteenth street, the Rev. Gustav Ziemer officiating. Burial will be in Bergholz cemetery.
