  Notes	Niagara Gazette - 3/7/1942 BEROHOLTZ—The marriage of Florence Wienke, daughter of John Wienke. and Mr. Charles Donner. son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Don- ner, Sr. of Wltmer road, was sol- emnized Saturday afternoon, Febru- ary 14. at 5 o'clock In the St. James Lutheran church with the Rev. Otto Brass officiating. Theador D. Grabau presided at the organ. The bride chose a gown of blue velva ray satin with fitted bodice, sweetheart neck line, three quarter length pointed sleeves and full skirt. Her only Jewelry was a gold locket a gift of the bridegroom. Miss, Lorraine Wienke, her sister's only attendant, wore pink velva ray satin made In princess style, with sweetheart neckline and puffed sleeves. She wore a tlerra of rosebuds and carried a bouquet of pink roses and narcisses. Jacob Donner, brother of the bridegroom acted as best man. Mrs. Robert Matchenbaugh, sister of the bride wore a light blue dress with hat to match and corsage of vellow roses and mixed flowers. Mrs. Lawrence Donner, Sr., mother of the bridegroom, wore navy blue with black accessories and corsage of yellow roses and mixed flowers. At 6 o'clock a chicken dinner was served at Hellers restaurant to about 35 guests. Later In the evening a reception was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents. Pre-nuptlals for the bride were a variety shower by Mrs. Herbert Wlenke and Mrs. Robert Motchenbaugh and a red and white kitchen shower by Mrs. Lawrence Donner, Sr., and Miss Duth Donner.

  FLORENCE G. DONNER age 99 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed into the arms of her Savior on July 26, 2019 in the comfort of her home, under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on June 8, 1920; the daughter of John and Marie (Nantke) Wienke. Florence was a devoted homemaker and was employed as a clerk at Parson's Drug Store in Tonawanda for 30 years. She was the oldest member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, where she had been active with the Ladies Missionary League, and Altar Guild; member of the Tonawanda Senior Citizens, and the American Legion Post 264 Ladies Auxiliary for over 50 years.  Florence was predeceased by her husband, Charles Donner in 1987; two brothers, Herbert, and Richard Wienke; a sister, Mildred Motchenbaugh; and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include two children, Ann (Raoul) Guedesse of Niagara Falls, NY and Lowell (Frances) Donner of St. Louis, MO; a sister, Lorraine Werth; three brothers, Ervin, Edward (Jessie), and Nelson (Dora) Wienke; grandsons, Richard Guedesse of Niagara Falls, NY, Charles (Shelie) Guedesse of Cheektowaga, NY, Michael Guedesse of Niagara Falls, NY, and Matthew (Gina) Guedesse of Sierra Vista, AZ; great-grandmother of 10, great-great-grandmother of 11; a very special niece and Goddaughter,Joselyn Szafranski; and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Tuesday (July 30) from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Ben Eder, at 8:00 p.m. following visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 265 Falconer Street, North Tonawanda, NY 14120, the Niagara County SPCA, Niagara Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
