The marriage of Miss Joan Marion
Wittkopp to Mr. Roy N. Vance,
Jr., will be solemnized this afternoon
at 4 o'clock In the Bacon
Memorial Presbyterian church with
the Rev. Ray K. Hallln officiating.
Miss Wittkopp is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Carl William Wittkopp,
Champlain avenue, and Mr.
Vance Is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Roy N. Vance, Weston avenue.
Miss. Wittkopp will enter the
church on the arm of her father.
She will wear a gown of ice blue
satin fashioned with sweetheart
neckline, tiny Bishop's collar and
fitted bodice, the full skirt with
pleated panniers to fall In a slight
sweep. Her ice blue finger tip veil
of French Illusion will be held in
place by a dainty crown trimmed
with tiny orange blossoms at each
side. She will carry a colonial bouquet
of white sweet peas and scattered
carnations with gardenia
center.
The sister of Miss Wittkopp. Miss
Janet Wittkopp, and Mrs. William
Chynoweth will be the bridal attendants.
Mr. Roger Butler will be the best
man and Mr. Chynoweth and Mr.
Thomas Brennen will be the ushers.
The organ music by Mrs. Millie
Oxenham with Mr. Thomas Truesdale
as soloist will provide the music
for the ceremony and palms
fems, vari-colored gladioli and
snapdragons will give a colorful
background for trie wedding partv.
The reception will be held from
5 to 7 o'clock at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Wittkopp. Later in the
evening the couple will leave for
Washington, D. C. and upon their
return they will reside at 51 South
Eighty-sixth street.
