  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 1/13/1947 George Dorn, 81, died Sunday afternoon at his home, 115 Kohler stieet, after a prolonged illness. Born in Bavaria, Germany, he had resided in Tonawanda the past 65 years. He was a member of the Modern Woodsmen of America and a charter member of Twin City Workmen's Sick and Death Benefit society. He is survived by his wife, Martha, nee Vogt; three sons, George, Harry and Francis of Tonawanda; eight daughters, Mrs. Mary Robertson, Mrs. William Bruce and Mrs. Arthur Barry of Buffalo, Mrs. Martna Sapko, Mrs. Edward Bristow, Mrs. Howard Grawe, and Miss Katherine Dorn of Tonawanda and Miss Rita Dorn of Houston, Tex.; 13 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a sister, Miss Bobbette Dorn of Ampherbach, Germany. Rites will Le held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the residence and at 10 a.m. from the St. Francis church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John A. Weismantel officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet.
