Robert L. Graff, age 81, of Buffalo, formerly of North Tonawanda and Wheatfield, died Thursday, April 16, 2009. Robert was the son of the late Herman and Maude Graff; and the brother of the late Herman, Marian and Ruth Graff, and the late Vivian Papoi. He served in the U.S. Army at the end of WW II and was honorably discharged in July of 1947. He was a longtime member of the Niagara Frontier Fiddle Club, and had been employed at Columbus McKinnon Corp. in Tonawanda for more than forty years before retiring in 1991. Robert was the husband of the late Peggy (Terranova) Graff and is survived by his former wife, Shirley B. Graff; five children, Robin (Richard) Graff-Reed, Terri (Edward) Graff-Williams, Bryan Graff, Kevin (Corinne) Graff, and Michelle Graff; nine grandchildren, Eric and Kyle Wiete, David and Michael Reed, David and Angel Williams, and Rachel Porter, Brittany and James Graff; two brothers, James and Richard (Arlene) Graff; and two sisters, Mildred (Lavern) Sattleburg and Elsie (Louis) Shaw; also surviving are many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, step-children and step-grandchildren. The family will receive friends after 1 PM Saturday (April 25th) at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where memorial services will be held at 3 PM.
