Miss Viola Meyers became the
bride of Mr. Leonard Sahr at St.
Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church
during one of the earlier June cere-
monies of the season. The Rev. F.
A. Hinners officiated at the cere-
mony.
Miss Lucille Sahr, sister of the
bridegroom, and Mr. Gerhard Mey-
ers, cousin of the bride, attended
the couple.
The bride wore a light gray-blue
gabardine tweed suit and white ac-
cessories. She wore a corsage of
white roses, camellias and lilies-of-
the-valley.
The couple is residing in Sanborn.

On Saturday, June 3, at 4 p. m..
Miss Viola Meyers became the
bride of Leonard Sahr in a ceremony
performed in St. Paul's
Evangelical Lutheran Church by
the Rev. F. A. Hinners.
Miss Meyers chose a light greyblue
gabardine tweed suit, similar
to that of the groom, with white
accessories and a corsage of white
roses, camellias, carnations, sweet
peas and lilies-of-the-valley. A
double strand of pearls, the gift
of the groom, completed her ensemble.
Miss Lucille Sahr, sister of the
groom, as maid-of-honor, wore a
light grey gabardine suit with
white accessories and a corsage
of red roses, white sweet peas
and lilies-of-the-valley.
Gerhard Meyers, cousin of the
bride, attended as best man.
After the ceremony the bridal
party had dinner in Shimschack's
Restaurant in Pekin.
On their honeymoon, Mr. and
Mrs. Sahr traveled through Canada
and the Thousands Islands
and are now at home in Shawnee
Road, Route 1, Sanborn.
Pre-nuptial parties included
showers given by Mrs. Howard
Meyers and Mrs. Leonard Mante,
Miss Lucille Sahr and Mrs. Howard
Sahr, Miss Edward Zimmerman
and Miss Meta Hartwig, Mrs.
Hubert Beutel, and Mrs. C.
Ingerson.
