  19 October 1948 Tonawanda News Mary E. Mellenthien Mary E. (Meyer) Mellenthien, 87, of 253 Rumbold Ave. died last night after a long illness. The deceased is the wife of the late Chas. Mellenthien. Surviving are two stepsons, Alvin and Henry, and a foster daughter, Mrs. Arthur Riedell of Randolph, N.Y., also several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mellenthien was a charter member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 from the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. The Rev. Paul H. Gassman, officiating. Interment in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery.
