C. F. HARTWIG IS DEAD at 86
C. Fred Hartwig, 86, formerly od 746 Spruce Ave, died today (Nov 16, 1967 in the Lutheran Home Jamestown. Mr. Hartwig was a retired pattern maker and had worked for many years for the old Niagara Pattern Works here. He was born in Niagara Falls and lived here until his moving to Jamestown a few years ago. Mrs. Hartwig was a life long member of Zion Lutheran Church here and for 30 years a member of the Church Council. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucille Hartwig, who lives with a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Lucille) Hartmeister, Jamestown; another daughter. Mrs. William (Ruth) Kaestner, Old Greenwich, Conn., a brother, Hugo Hartwig, and a sister, Mrs. John (Ella) Maggs, both of this city and a sister, Mrs. William (Gertrude) Holland, Kenmore. He was a brother of the late John and Felix Hartwig and the late Mrs. Ann Sarginson, all of whom died recently. Funeral services will be held Sunday at the Cornell& Daggett Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Paul R. Swank, pastor of Zion Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
