  29 June 1978 Tonawanda News WURL – Elsie Wurl, 74, of North Tonawanda, Wednesday (June 28, 1978) at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a long illness. Born in Dunkirk, N. Y., she lived in North Tonawanda for 43 years and was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Elmer L. Wurl; a son, Richard (Mary Ann) Wurl of Cheektowaga; a daughter, Sandra Wurl of North Tonawanda and five grandchildren. Friends may call Thursday from 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Wattengel Funeral Home Inc., 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m., the Rev. David B. Kaplan officiating. Burial White Chapel Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity og your choice.
