- Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wehrung of East Amherst celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a gathering of family and friends at their daughter's home in Clarence Center. Wehrung and Frieda Ziehl were married April 10, 1943, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda. He is retired from Simonds Saw & Steel, Lockport. The couple has three children and four grandchildren.

The marriage of Frieda Alice
Ziehl, eldest daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Ziehl of Kleiner road
to PFC Edward Wehrung of Lockport
was quietly solemnized Saturday
April 10, at 4:30 p. m., in
St, Paul's Evangelical Lutheran
church, Niagara Falls boulevard,
the Rev. F. A. Hinners officiating.
Mr. Arnold F. Nuoffer presided
at the organ and gave a fifteen
minute recital before the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father
the bride wore a gown with a
white lace bodice and long sleeves
coming to points over the wrists
and full skirt with a long train
of French Marqulesette. Her fingertip
veil of Illusion fell from a
heart-shaped Juliet cap edged
with pearls and she carried a
shower bouquet of white roses
and sweet peas. The bride wore
a double strand of pearls, the gift
of the groom.
Miss Mildred Broecker was maid
of honor, gowned in a powder
blue ninon and taffeta gown. Her
bouquet consisted of yellow daffodils
and white carnations.
The groom was attended by
his brother, Mr. Carl Wehrung of
Buffalo, as best man. The ushers
were Mr. William Zuch, uncle of
the br*de and Mr. Robert Moeller
the grcom's brother-in-law. PFC
Wehrung left on Wednesday for
Gulfport Field, Miss., where he
will resume his instructorship in
the air mechanics school, Mrs.
Wehrung is making her home with
her parents for the present and
will join her husband later.
