Lois (Ziehl) Ziehm, 95, of North Tonawanda, Monday (April 14, 2025) surrounded by family in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Lois was born in Wheatfield, New York on February 17, 1930 to Walter and Alice (Wurl) Ziehl. Lois worked for Niagara County Health Association as a personal care aide, and she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Lois was predeceased by her husband Alvin Ziehm, sons Roy and Mark (JoAnn) Ziehm, daughter Janette Lynn (Mark) Clapsadle, brothers Elton, Robert, and Andrew, sisters Frieda, Eleanor, and Laura, and granddaughter Alyssa Justine Cowell.
Lois is survived by her children Gloria (Vincent) Zemaitis, David (Jody) Ziehm, Brenda (Ken) Baardsen, Elaine (Peter) Joyce, and Karen (William) Cowell, 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Family will be present to receive friends Tuesday (April 22, 2025) from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, New York. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church Wednesday (April 23, 2025) at 10:00 AM. Internment will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Cemetery.
