  Tonawanda News Jun 15, 1945 Fred A. Wendt, 56, of 198 18th avenue, died early yesteiday afternoon in the DeGraff Memorial hospital. He was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda. Surviving are his wife, Anna, nee Kopec; a son, Lt. Chester Podd of the U. S. Navy, stationed at Norfolk, Va.; two brothers, William of North Tonawanda and Martin of Dalton, N. Y., and a sister, Mrs. Frank Sahr of North Tonawanda. Rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 from the Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam street. The Rev. Carl Frankenstein will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.
