Henry Warren "Joe" Proefrock, 83, Monday, October 14, 2002 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, he was a U.S.Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Proefrock was retired from the former Lawless Container Co., after 43 years of service. He was a life member of the North Tonawanda Elks Lodge #860. He was the brother of the late Duane Proefrock and Geraldine Schmidt.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude R. (nee Kent) Proefrock; his daughter, Donna (John) Dotterweich; seven grandchildren, Mark (Debi) Dotterweich, Jane (John) DiVirgilio, Gary (Tammy) Dotterweich, Nancy (Butch) Schreckengost, Joseph (Karen) Dotterweich, Diane (Keith) Milbrand and Paul Dotterweich; and sixteen great grandchildren; his brother, Francis (Jane) Proefrock; also surivved by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Colucci Funeral Home, 652 Oliver St. at Fifth Ave., North Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m.with Rev. Sue Ann Culp officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Payne Ave. Chritsian Church Building Fund, 350 Wheatfield St., North Tonawanda.
