  Tonawanda News Proefrock - William C. Proefrock, 76, of 133 Spruce St., North Tonawanda, Thursday (Jan 23, 1969) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a lengthly illness. Mr. Proefrock was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, the Sweeney Hose Company and the Firemen's Benevolent Association. He is survived by his wife, Elsie (nee Fehrman), a son, Laverne W. Proefrock of North Tonawanda, two grandchildren, four great-grantchildren, four brothers, Fred of Alexander, NY, Edward of Tonawanda, Arnold of North Tonawanda and Walter of California, and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Mills and Mrs. Edward Manth, both of North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Sylvester Salisbury of Florida. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. A. W. Moldenhauer will officiate. Interment in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery.
