NORTH TONAWANDA - Marie L. (nee Prohaska) Toellner, of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday, July 6, 2010, in her 83rd year, surrounded by her loving family and friends, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Toellner was a former employee of the Wurlitzer Co. She was one of the original founders of the former St. Joseph’s R.C. Church where she was a member of the Altar Society, Bereavement Committee, Parish Council, Church Women United and was a former CCD Teacher. Marie was a member of the O.L.C. Altar Society, Bereavement Committee, Church Women United, Council of Catholic Women and Our Lady’s Rosary Makers of Niagara.
Wife of the late Roy W. Toellner. Dearest mother of Mary (Frank) Zahradnik of Austin, TX, Ellen (Jeffery) Brock of North Tonawanda and Ann (Edward) Weaver of Rushford, NY. Proud and loving grandmother of Frank Zahradnik III, Benjamin Zahradnik, Jennifer Brock and Jacob Brock. Dear sister of Frank (Shirley) Prohaska of Lockport, Margaret Beringer of Kenmore, Paul (Lucy) Prohaska of Lockport and the late Catherine Butler, Helen Ludwig, Anna Gougeon, Elizabeth Perry, John Prohaska, Sophie Mellenthine-Bille and Louise (Michael) Miller. Sister-in-law of Leona Doebler of North Tonawanda. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on FRIDAY, July 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271), where prayers will be offered on Saturday at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church at 11:00 AM. Interment, White Chapel Memorial Park. Flowers graciously declined. For those who wish, the family suggests memorial offerings may be made in Marie's honor to Niagara Hospice.
O.L.C. Altar Society will have prayers on FRIDAY at 3:00 PM.
