(nee Kolbe) Guido, age 93, of North Tonawanda, passed away on June 21, 2014. Mrs. Guido was born in North Tonawanda on February 6, 1921, daughter of the late William and Emma Kolbe. Mrs. Guido was a very active member of the former Ascension R.C. Church and currently a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish. She had worked for Pivot-Punch in Pendleton for over 20 years. Mrs. Guido was involved in the foster grandparent program in the North Tonawanda School System for over 20 years. She was an Election Poll Worker for many years and a member of the North Tonawanda Senior Center. Beloved wife of the late Frank Guido, who passed away in 1948; devoted mother of Marilyn (Kenneth) Bigham, Frank (Eleanor) Guido, Jim (Kim) Guido, the late George Guido and late Thomas (Linda) Guido; sister of the late Dorothea Tober, late Edward, Herbert, Carl and William Kolbe. Also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, (NEW LOCATION) 533 Meadow Dr., North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday from St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd., at 11:00 AM. Please assemble at church.
