PROHASKA – John T. Prohaska, 64, of North Tonawanda, N.Y., Thursday (May 9, 1974) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Mr. Prohaska was a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas, a retired postal employee and member of St. Mark Lutheran church.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred (nee Vogt) Prohaska; a son, Arthur A., and two daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Carol) Schultz and Mrs. Philip (Sharon) Durlick, all of North Tonawanda; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Frank of Buffalo, Peter of Alden and Joseph Prohaska of North Tonawanda; two sisters, Miss Ann Prohaska of New York City and Mrs. James (Helen) Polizzi of Buffalo.
The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Road, North Tonawanda, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in St. Mark Lutheran Church, Monday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Edward C. Goehner will officiate. Interment in St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Hour.
