Margaret Emma (Lamont) Frombgen, age 97, passed away August 2, 2009 in the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born August 30, 1911 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late Earl D. and Doris M. (Quandt) Lamont. She was married to George B. Frombgen on October 26, 1940 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Lockport by the Reverend James B. Bray. Her husband of more than 38 years passed away February of 1979. Mrs. Frombgen attended Lockport Senior High School and had been employed by J.J. Newberry Co., Flora Hatch Dress Shop and Sherwood Selpac, all of Lockport. She was a member and past Noble Grand of the Lockport Rebekah Lodge. She is survived by her two sons, Barry J. (Shirley) Frombgen of Lockport and Daniel L. (Mary) Frombgen of Gasport; as well as four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of Florence Judd and Raymond Lamont, both of Lockport and 11 nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her brothers, Fredrick, Elmer, Robert, Charles and George Lamont; and sisters, Helen Shafer and Marion Gaylord. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, where funeral services will be held Thursday morning, August 6th at 10:00 AM.
