RANSOMVILLE, N. Y.-George E.
Burmaster, 64, of this village, died
this morning at the Buffalo General
hospital. He had been ln ill health
the last four months.
Mr. Burmaster was born in the
town of Porter, where he had resided
all his life. He was a son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Burmaster,
early settlers.
Mr. Burmaster was construction
foreman for the New York State
Highway department for the last
20 years and was formerly with the
Niagara County Highway department
.supervising maintenance of
roads throughout Niagara county.
He was an active member of the
Democratic party, a former president
of the Ransomvllle fire company
and a member of the Ransomvllle
Exempt Firemen's association.
Mr. Burmaster was one of the
best known residents of this community.
He had always taken a keen
interest in village and county affairs.
His death will be mourned by a wide
circle of friends.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Ida M. Burmaster; one son, Kenneth
E. Burmaster, of this village:
two brothers, James Burmaster, of
Lockport, and William Burmaster,
of this village; one sister, Mrs. Eva
Harris, of Lockport, and one grandson,
George Henry Burmaster, of
this village.
Funeral services will be held next
Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at
the home, North Lake street. Interment
will be in North Ridge cemetery.
