- Obituary of Helen Rohring
Helen S. Rohring, of Cambria, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late John and Sophie (Ruzga) Kalita, Helen was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School and lived most of her life in Cambria. She married Ronald Rohring in 1949 and for many years helped on the Rohring family farm. Ronald predeceased her in 1982.
Helen loved to travel and play Bingo. She enjoyed visits to Las Vegas to meet her sister and brother. She also enjoyed gardening, going to Senior Citizens, and attending the Ralph C. Wilson Adult Day Services in North Tonawanda.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Ray) Kramer and Pamela Sue Rohring both of Lockport; her granddaughters, Malinda (Damian) Rader of Wendell, NC and Rhonda (Ryan) Kramer of Charlotte, NC; three great grandsons, Bradley and Aiden Rader, and Timothy Cole, III; and a brother, Edward Kalita of Wheatfield. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Kowalski and two brothers, Steve and Joseph Kalita.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday from 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 12, at 11:00 AM in St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge, 4169 Church Rd., Town of Cambria. Private burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge, 4169 Church Rd., Lockport, NY 14094 or to St. Mary's School for the Deaf, 2253 Main St., Buffalo, NY 14214.
