  Niagara Gazette - 12/30/1968 NEWFANE. - Mrs. Mary E. Sahr. 86, of 7147 Ridge Road, Ridgewood, died Sunday (Dec 29, 1968) in Intercommunity Memorial Hospital here after a short illness. She was born Aug. 15. 1882 in North Tonawanda and had lived with her daughter and son-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. Victor Hoyer for the last 23 years in Sharpesburg, Pa., and West Seneca. She was the wife of Frnak Sahr, who died in 1943. The couple was married in 1908. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ridgewood. Besides her daughter, also surviving is a son Edward, of North Tonawanda, and 11 grandchildren. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home here. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. William Dallman officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, North Tonawanda.
