- Obituary for Margaret S Goerss
On November 14, 2023, Margaret Storey Goerss passed away peacefully at the age of 92. Born and raised in North Tonawanda, NY, Margaret and her husband, Eugene, went on to raise their two children
in North Tonawanda and lived there until 2019. Margaret dedicated her life to her family and leaves them with cherished memories of family celebrations, game nights, peaceful summer evenings in the backyard surrounded by Margaret’s beautiful gardens, thoughtful conversations, and her amazingly delicious chocolate chip cookies.
Margaret was predeceased by her devoted husband, Eugene Goerss, and her parents, Matthew and Gladene Storey. She is survived by her sister, Joan Waterstrat, daughter, Judy Bermudez (Barry), son, Bruce Goerss (Kathy), grandchildren Anthony Goerss (Erin), Christopher Goerss, Angela Cayce (Anthony), Diana Bermudez (Mitch), and Rachael Morris (Danny). In addition, Margaret leaves behind six great-
grandchildren including Rowan Goerss, Isaac, Eden and Sarah Morris, Lily Cayce, and Cole Porter.
Following a private family burial service, all are invited to attend Margaret’s memorial service which will take place on Monday, November 20, at 1:00 PM at Zion United Church of Christ located at 15
Koenig Circle, Tonawanda, NY 14150. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Zion United Church of Christ and sent to the address listed above.
