  Tonawanda News, Jan 24, 1936 HERMAN C. ELLMAN Herman C. Ellman, 55 years old, 84 Washington street, died this morning at the DeGraff Memorial hospital after a month's illness. Born in Germany, he was brought to America by his parents at the age of six months. He has since resided in St. Johnsburg and North Tonawanda. He was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran church, the Men's club and the Athletic club of the church. Surviving are a wife, Emma, nee Strassburg; a son, Henry; a daughter, Mrs. George J. Mueller; three grandchildren, parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Ellman; a brother, Gustav, Niagara Falls, and a sister, Mrs. William Urtel, North Tonawanda. Rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and at 2:30 from the St. Mark's church. Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate and burial will be in St. Mark's cemetery
