  Niagara Gazette - 3/1/1948 PEKIN. March 1-Griffin S. Burnett died yesterday at the home of his brother. William Burnett. In the Lower Mountain road. Mr. Burnett had been ill the last three weeks. He was a retired fanner and was born on the-farm, In the Lower Mountain road, July 24, 1868, where he had lived all his life. He was removed to the brother's home when taken ill. He was a son of the late William Burnett and Margaret Henderson Burnett. His mother came here from Ireland. He was a member of the Pekln Methodist church. His wife, Eva Allard Burnett, died several years ago. He U survived by one daughter, Mrs. Oscar Wollaver(sic), of the Lower Mountain road: two brothers, William Burnett, of the Lower Mountain road, and Ellsworth Burnett of Pekln; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2:30 pm. from the home of his brother. Burial' will be In Mountain View cemetery.
