- Alfred H. Broeker, age 81, of Warsaw, formerly of the Tonawandas, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Crossroads House in Batavia. Born in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late William and Martha (nee Wittkopf) Broeker, and was an Army Veteran of WWII, serving during the occupation of Japan. A resident of the Warsaw area for more than 50 years, he was a custodian for the Warsaw School District, before retiring. He was the brother of the late Edward, William and Reynold Broeker, Selma Galos, Eleanor Corbit and Elsie Bennett.
He is survived by two sisters, Martha Cairl and Caroline Russell; and a brother, Chester (Virginia) Broeker. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. There is no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 10 AM Saturday, March 22nd at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. Interment will be cared for privately at City Cemetery in Tonawanda.
