  Hi Char, Thanks for the quick response. If you want to update your info to the latest we have, you can change John Kannarr's birthdate to 15 Aug 1829. We calculated this from the tombstone inscription we visited and photographed in 1998. Also, all the information we have on his birthplace (the 1960 and 1970 census) indicate Pennsylvania. We have no idea how he was shown to have been born in Lee, IL. We know he was living in Lee County, IL, when the 1870 census was taken and that is where he married Rhoda Bennett Walker, a widower with three daughters. We have been unable to prove or disprove this information. As you might guess, finding John Kannarr's parents has consumed some 10 plus years with no positive results. If you are interested in all of John's descendants that we have been able to locate and document, I would be happy to send you a .ged file that you could use as you see fit. Eva Mae Scherer Kannarr was born in Chapman, Dickinson, KS, rather than Geary county. We have no idea where this came from either. Again, thanks for your response and happy hunting.
