- Witkop, Peggy Jean View/Sign Guest Book
(Barre) - Peggy Jean Witkop, age 52, of Johnny Cake Lane, died October 18, 2009, at her residence, following a short illness. She was born December 29, 1956 in Buffalo to Frank and Frances Otto and had lived in this area most of her life. Peggy was a graduate of Lyndonville High School and received her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Fredonia in Music Education. Mrs. Witkop was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church, and sang for many years in the Genesee Choral. Peggy loved animals and will be remembered as a person who showed and raised rabbits, as well as Cocker Spaniels and Labrador Retrievers. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ronald; two sons, Kevin L. Witkop and Jason A. Witkop, both at home; a brother, Paul (Carole) Otto of Erie, PA; two sisters, Elaine (Anthony) Illos of Buffalo, Joan Miller of Leroy; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Avenue, Albion, FRIDAY, October 23rd from 6-9 PM. Family and friends are invited to meet at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church for Peggy's Mass of Christian Burial SATURDAY 10:30 AM. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
