  Niagara Gazette - 9/23/1941 NORTH TONAWANDA- Edward A. Schmeichel, 42, of 433 Falls boulevard, died today at the De- Graff Memorial hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the Martinsville section and was a member of the Rescue fire company and the North Tonawanda Firemen's Benevolent association. He Is survived by his wife. Mrs. Cora A. Kopp Schmelchel: a son. Robert: two daughters. Zelma and Janet: his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schmeichel. of this city; two brothers. Arthur, of Amherst, and Wilbert, of this city; a sister. Mrs. Theodore Fonton. of this city. Last rites will be Friday at 2 p. m. at the home of Mrs. Schmelchel's sister, Mrs. William Otterstein, of 1785 Dellwood avenue, and at 2:30 at the St. Paul's Lutheran church at Martinsville. The Rev. F. A. Hlnners will officiate and Interment will be In White Chapel Memorial Park cemetery.
