  15 May 1935 Tonawanda News Christian Behnke, 83 years old, a resident of the town of Wheatfield for the past 50 years, died last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John W. Schulmeister, St. Johnsburg. He was born in Germany. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Charles Krueger, North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Schulmeister; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a brother, August, North Ridge, and a sister, Mrs. August Wilkins, Newfane. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Schulmeister residence and at 3 o'clock, daylight savings time, from the St. John's church. Rev. Walter Thiemecke will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery.
