  North Tonawanda Evening News, 13 August 1937 John W Schulmeister, 62 years old, a life-long resident of the town of Wheatfield, and proprietor of a grocery store on the Ward road in St. Johnsburg for the past 25 years, died yesterday afternoon in the Memorial hospital, Niagara Falls. He leaves a wife. Martha, nee Behnke; four sons, Walter, North Tonawanda: Fred, New York city; Christ and Carl, St. Johnsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Lemke and Mrs. William Krull, St. Johnsburg; 11 grandchildren; a mother, Mrs. Augusta Schulmeister, Niagara Falls; three brothers, Henry, Elmer and George Niagara Falls and five sisters, Mrs. Theodore Boyer, Mrs Paul Wustrack, Mrs. McCollough and Mrs. Bother, Niagara Falls and Mrs. Henry Stang, New York city. Rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and half an hour later from the St. John's church Rev. Walter Thiemecke will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery.
